This setting turns on or off the functionality that automatically calculates K efficiency factors for lug geometry. In automatic mode, LugCalc™ automatically interrogates the graphs in AFFDL-TR-69-42 to select the the appropriate K value using the method of linear interpolation. This feature is the the foundation to leveraging LugCalc™ automation. The automatic calculation of K saves the engineer or designer valuable time by automating the most time intensive part of lug review. When turned off, it is the user’s responsibility to manually input a K value on each tab, Kbr, Knu, and Kbr.
