Lug loads are generally given in component form, axial and transverse directions, or vector form, magnitude and angular direction. The user is required to select the input type with the drop down list. In vector form, the load direction is defined as an angle, theta, in degrees from the axially outward direction . LugCalc™ can accept the load input in either form and will automatically calculate the other load form. Loads have to be provided by the user as a design condition. If the user does not provide a load, LugCalc™ will not be able to estimate a margin of safety.
